National Novel Writing Month starts November 1st!
Follow the directions on the Libguide to join the Derby Writes! group.
You'll set a goal for how many words you want to write, and use the Writers Handbook to help with all stages of the novel-writing process. In the class section, there will be daily inspiration from real writers, as well as mini-lessons or idea-starters to help when you're stuck. The website will keep track of your word count and award badges as you hit each goal!
Don't want to commit to writing a whole novel? Fine! Write a short story! Or a series of poems. Your word count goal is entirely up to you!
