Underwater Camera

Calypso was the first underwater camera that was waterproof, without having to be encased in plastic housing.  This  resulted in better photographs.

Submersiblbe

Built in 1959, this small submarine could only hold two people, who had to lie side-by-side on mattresses, watching their surroundings through tilted portholes.
